To help understand the conventions of real texts and how I can apply them to my own productions I have compared my AS Film Opening piece to a real txt: Wrong Turn. By doing this I am able to understand the similarities and what they connote. It shows how my production compares with real texts already produced and by showing the similarities it shows how my text follows codes and conventions of similar texts in the genre I am working within. I will be thinking about codes and conventions for my current Music Video project as I go along with research and planning.
